Founded in 1919, we are one of the oldest WI’s in Devon.

Following the closure in 2005 of Clinton WI (Budleigh Salterton), we are the only WI in the Lower Otter Valley.  Around half of our members live in Budleigh Salterton.

Nationally the WI is thriving with over 212,000 members in 6,600 branches.  The WI memorably celebrated its centenary in 2015 with many events including the Annual Meeting attended by HM, The Queen.
